In 2016, I was diagnosed with cancer.
My world changed overnight. But what kept me going wasn’t just medicine — it was having something to hold onto. A goal. A vision for the future.
While many saw illness, I saw an opportunity to fight for something bigger than myself.
Through Project Bodensee, I want to show what purpose can do. Not just for me — for everyone who has ever felt invisible because of illness.
Illness is still a taboo.
Too many people feel like they have to hide their diagnosis, their struggle, their truth.
But you are more than your illness. More than a label.
This swim is about breaking the silence.
It’s about saying: I’m still here. I’m still capable. And I will not disappear.
64 kilometers. Non-stop. Across Lake Bodensee (Lake Constance).
A physical challenge, yes — but more importantly, a symbol.
A symbol of endurance, visibility, and what it means to keep going.
For every person who feels like their diagnosis has erased them.
This is for you.

The Bigger Picture
Lake Bodensee is not about proving I’m special.
It’s about proving what’s possible.
If you’re facing an illness, a personal struggle, or just feel stuck — set a goal. A big one.
Not to escape your reality, but to create a new one.
One where you are in the driver’s seat.
Upcoming milestones
We’re building momentum — not just with swims, but with stories, events, and shared goals. Follow along and be part of this mission.
I invite you to follow this journey, share your own challenges, and most importantly, take that first step toward something meaningful. Project Bodensee is more than a challenge—it’s a reminder that life is meant to be lived, no matter the circumstances.
Let’s break the silence. Let’s set goals that push us forward. And let’s prove that we are stronger than we think.
