A new chapter

I don't speak from theory. I speak from open water.

I am not a theorist. Everything I talk about, I have lived first.

2016: Cancer diagnosis. Career at its peak.

2017: 10th national water polo title. Goal set during treatment. Achieved after it.

2025: 65 km across Lake Constance. First Austrian ever. 6th person on earth.

2026: 61 km across Lago Maggiore. First Austrian ever. 3rd person on earth.

Between those points: corporate leadership, five children, a book, and a system refined over ten years.

One principle survived everything: Make 5% your 100%.

5% Is Still Your 100% — The Rebuild System for What Comes After.

My Message

Turning the Impossible into a Side-Effect

Everyone talks about motivation. Almost nobody talks about what actually carries you at kilometre 50, when motivation left the water hours ago.

That’s endurance mindset: choosing a goal so meaningful that quitting stops being an option. And discipline: the unglamorous daily work that makes the goal possible.

That is the gap
I work in.

When I decided to swim Lake Constance, people thought the goal was the swim. It wasn’t. The goal was to prove, publicly and measurably, that the system works. That what I wrote in “Against the Current” isn’t theory. That 5% is enough, if you make it your 100%

"When the Why is strong enough, the goal becomes a side-effect."

My Framework

SWIM
a system built inside a crisis, not in a lecture hall.

S - SELF-LEADERSHIP

Know your values and strengths when titles and track records don't help anymore. Lead yourself before you lead anything else.

W - WHY

Motivation runs out. Why doesn't. When your reason is undeniable, the how takes care of itself.

I - INNER BELIEF

INNER BELIEF: Steadiness in the middle of uncertainty. Not passive hope. Active certainty.

M - MOMENTUM TOGETHER

Consistent movement, even at 5%. And the support boat. No big goal is a solo project.

On stage

Forged in the Storm. Not in a Textbook.

I don’t speak from theory. I speak from 26 hours alone in open water, from eight months of chemotherapy, from leadership under pressure.

My keynotes are built for leadership teams, sales organisations, congresses and company events. In German or English. No motivational fireworks. Just what actually happens at kilometre 50, and what your people can take from it into Monday morning.

What the audience leaves with:

  • Endurance mindset, explained as an operational system. Not inspiration.
  • What discipline actually looks like when conditions are against you. Told through real crossings, not slides.
  • One concrete step every person can take before Monday morning.

"This is not a story you hear. It is a moment in which you recognise yourself."

Bernhard Hengl on stage - a true experience

Make 5% Your 100% – 12 weeks, 1:1.

I work with high performers who have already proven they can push through, and who are ready for the one goal that scares them.

Specifically:

  • The founder whose company runs, but doesn’t pull anymore.
  • The manager who hits every target and feels strangely flat doing it.
  • The athlete chasing something bigger than the last title.

This is not motivational coaching. It is operational. 12 weeks, 1:1, built on the SWIM framework. We define the goal that actually scares you, build the endurance mindset that carries you, and install the discipline that gets the daily work done. And on the way, we deal with what’s really in the way. It’s usually not what you think.

Limited spots. Everything starts with a conversation.

If this is where you are — let's talk.
